I know that I've asked this before but could we have a password feature with it's own protection where we can keep passwords, account numbers, etc...

I would really appreciate it!

And I'm also agreeing with bvpr on the Journal.  I'm also using another program for journaling and diary entries at this time.

The software that does everything is our computer.  The command center to access each function we need is our Start Menu -or our desktop- the program shortcuts.  I disagree with piling a bunch of unrelated functions into one program.  When one wants to find their passwords or credit card numbers, one launches their password manager program. When one wants to find what tasks to do next, one launches LeaderTask.   Software is better when it focuses on doing one thing well, instead of many things so-so.   Separating programs also allows the user to pick and choose his favorite program for each feature -a form of plugability.  You can pick your "best of bread" password manager, or favorite password manager, or the password manager you can afford.  I'll pick mine.  Same goes for journaling.  There are hundreds of journalling programs, including online ones.    Let's request features for LeaderTask that are related to task management.

When i choose a filter it shows up like expected. But a lot of times underneath those prioritized tasks i have subtasks....for example the steps it takes to complete the prioritized task. is it possible to add the ability to show the + for the tasks that have subtasks when searching via the filter? right now when i search a filter i have to open the task to see which project it is in....then open projects...find that task...then i can see subtasks.
Also is there a .pdf version of a manual for this program?
Other than that thanks for the great program.

agreed.
tdunich you can create a project or category called program for example. Underneath it have subfolders labeled for example "password manager"....then in that subfolder create a link to your password manager of choice. So when i tested....i created link and pointed it to a desktop icon (or you could point it to the file the shortcut points to). Whenever i click on the link it opens desired program. Everything within one program (leadertask) but created by seperate company that focuses on only that program. you can do this for other things too. I have my folder structure within windows for organization. But sometimes i have to dive down 10 subfolders to to find what i am looking for. So in leadertask i will create a link to a folder. Yes you can create shortcuts on your desktop, but i aggree it is nice to go to one place to find everything. So this allows you to go to one place without sacrificing the integrity of the product.

Hi,

I really need shared projects, contacts, categories. I tought that it worked that way (or maybe I'm overlooking something). I installed the server correctly, activated the users but only see shared task...

-- Journal of regular tasks

I find this intriguing.  I already like the Notes features and was hoping to see a Note View feature that only shows the notes.  Is this anything like that?

Hello nocturno,
Although it is not exactly the way you ask, the image I have attached shows how to do what you want.

You can see the contents of the notes by settings in the way the images show.
When you put the mouse over the icon of the note or content of a task you will be able to  see what there are into them.

I agree that LeaderTask is one of the best -- if not the best -- task management application right now because it has many features for Task Management.  But for the journalling feature, that would be a welcome addition.  One monitors projects and the tasks beneath it.  A journalling feature for projects would help in making reports.

How about selected import from Outlook for contacts/tasks? Or import from plain CVS file to address book?
I just starting to use this our small company, I tried personal version some time ago (may be a year) and it was not very intuitive to use. I love Outlook since it sync with my win mobile and Exchange server.

...
-- Sync:
    LeaderTask <=> pocket PC
    LeaderTask <=> Mobile
    LeaderTask <=> Communicator (smartphone)
    LeaderTask <=> Outlook
    LeaderTask <=> LeaderTask
...
Is that last entry meant to be shared projects and shared contacts?

Also, I want to synch with my Google Nexus One (or any Android app-phone).

My N1 can synch with my Google Calendar and I can synch GCal with Outlook, but not only is that too many steps, but GCal <-> Outlook is VERY BADLY behaved: GCal automatically deletes old calendar entries and then Outlook deletes them too.  I need to save old calendar entries as a journal of time that I use when I bill clients.  So I will NOT use GCal <-> Outlook.

Please, in ANY synch, give the user options about deleting ANY information. Do not automatically synch deletions; that may not be what the user desires.

I hope this helps,
August
